Amendment to Zoning for City of Middletown

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Middletown Common Council will hold a public hearing via video/tele-conference and live on Channel 20 for viewing on a proposed amendment to the Zoning Code, 475-21.1, DMU Downtown Mixed Use District to add:
Section 1 - The Code of the City of Middletown, N.Y., Chapter 475, Zoning, be and is hereby amended by replacing Paragraphs (2) of Subsection C of Section 475-21.1, DMU Downtown Mixed Use District, to read as follows:
The first floor (street level) of any building located in the DMU zone must be a commercial use as allowed in this ยง 475-21.1 (as the same may be amended from time to time). Residential uses of the first floor of any building or structure located in the DMU district are prohibited, unless waived by the Planning Board in its sole discretion, subject to the conditions and restrictions.

In order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the City residents the Common Council will not have the public at this public hearing but will be televised live on Channel 20.
